no radio fader?

I have a 08 road glide. It seems silly that there is no fader when you install the back speakers! What do you need - a new stereo unit?

I believe you need to have the dealer reprogram the radio for the rear speakers

just a possible solution ive heard for other radio issues. You may need to go to HD website and download an update or upgrade that you install with a CD in you stereo. That may be all you need to tell the stereo you have additional speakers. That or you missed a wire. Hope that helps.

fader for radio

The speakers work fine but without the fader you can't hear them - they're the same volume as the front speakers!

The radio needs to be flashed, i.e. the radio software needs to be updated for the fader control to work or even see it. I did the same thing with my 07 RG when I added rear speakers.
