I have used the Camelback and tank bag system also. I just got the Hog Trough setup. The cup is too small for me and the bottle top is awkward on mine it will not stat on full open so you have to bike it and pull to get anything out. But, I have several other bottles that work fine and will e on the lookout for a larger container that will fit. Maybe something around 1/2 gal or more with a tube like the camelback. I would clip the drink tube to my jacket and then just have to reposition my head for a drink and it worked with a full face also.
I purchased a solid mount Chrome cupholder off of eBay and I'm pretty displeased with it.
The problem is that my Ultra Classic's Vtwin really shakes the hell out of everything on the bike - including the cupholder and whatever cup is within it.
So even a 3/4 cup of coffee from McD's is spilling all over my tank and crap when I use it.
How do you guys solve for that? I'm wondering if I got a leather one if that would absorb some of the movement as it would flex and not be so rigid like the Chrome one I have...
I have a Ram mount on the bars and Captain Itch on both sides of the lowers. I usually freeze water bottles and put them in the holders. As they thaw out I can drink.
