When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do in order to get my feet closer to the ground and be more comfortable. I was considering the reach seat and other seats. I then seen a add about www.meancitycycles.com. Since it was a much lower cost and Allen said he could redo the seat to my preferences. Long story short, he did what I wanted and now I can ride all day. I have done several 800 mile days. Best money I have spent yet. I have sat on the reach seat but that is all. It did not impress me as compared to Allen's work. Saved some $$ at it.

I had one put on before I picked it up (The dealer threw in the seat as part of the deal alnog with a shorter windshield) and have ridden 16K km since and I find the seat very comfortable on long trips. My wife is also comfortable on the rear section. I am 5' 6" with 29' inseam and I can comfortably put both feet on the ground.

I have had one for about 45K miles. Works just like it is supposed to. I can be flat-footed at stops. I have a 30 inch inseam

Allen can do what ever you want him to. I have a 29 inch inseam so I had him move me forward 1.5 inches, lower me 2 inches, cut the sides, and add memory foam.

ReachŽ Seat

Designed specifically for riders requiring a close to the bar riding position, this seat positions the rider approximately 1" forward, closer to the hand and foot controls. The narrow front profile brings your legs closer together to help you plant your feet firmly on the ground. The seat features a textured vinyl insert and a "Bar & Shield" logo that shows you are riding in style.

This will do the opposite of what you want.

I found the Reach Seat worked well but the passenger portion was smaller and the seat did not look as good as the one that came with my '09 Ultra. I had my original redone at MCC for a fraction of the cost of the Reach Seat. I like the fit and it looks much better. They will interview you to determine your need and sculpt the seat to make you comfortable. I got mine filled with memory foam, lowered, and narrowed for about $100.00.

I thought the reach seat was very close to the comfort stitch that comes on the bike.
