Default Need opinion lowering

I need help guys,
Ive read all the threads on lowering a RK custom and still dont know what would be the best way. I need to get my feet flat on the ground. I bought a corbin seat with a nose job from a forum member last year but that put me to far back. I thoght about bitchin baggers or arnott. I realy dont want to spend a fortune. I think im going to sell the corbin and get my stock seat mod. by mean city. All opinions welcome.

Default lowering

I have lowered my EGC front and rear with HD rear profile air shocks and the front with the HD front end shorter forks and this gave me the ability to put both feet FLAT on the ground and then for an extra inch I disassembled the seat and reshaped the foam and core drilled it make it softer. Lowering the bike made it far more enjoyable to ride plus the center of gravity feels lower and better.

I lowered the rear with Progressive shocks 1" shorter than stock and have not yet lowered the front fork springs, made a world of differance for me. I was told to stay away from the lowering brackets because they lower the rear by adjusting the geometry of the shocks and lead to a harsher ride.

+1 on the lower Shocks, my 07 EGC have both the front and rear lowered and love it. I had a 97 RK that came with the lowering brackets and it would Bottom Out 2 up. I changed to the 1" lower Progressive 440's on that and it was Great.

Haven't lowered mine yet, but so far I'm thinking that the Bitchin Baggers shocks might be the way to go for quality and price. Might go that route when the time comes. We'll see.
