Default sissy bar luggage, t bag

Hey everyone, I posted this in the general forum but I thought I`d give it a go here to see what people use.

I`m going to have to buy a t-bag or sissy bar bag, whatever they`re called. I`ve seen the harley ones, but they seem a bit wide and I think they`d interfere with the operation of the lids on my hard bags. So I came across this site in a magazine and I like the luggage bag they have. It comes off and has back pack straps so you can take it will you easily.

here it is.

What do you use, what do you think about this one. thanks in advance for your answers.

I did a lot of looking at these types of bags looking for the largest amount of storage for the buck. My trips can be several weeks long so I wanted a bag that would hold enough but did not want to spend a bunch of money. I ended up with this one which went cross country several times with me. http://www.motorcycle-luggage.com/Me...Category_Code=

Saddleman is good stuff and looks much better than the bag I listed above. I believe it will do you well.
This link has more sissy bar bags so you can compare features.

BTW, I did not get my bag from the merchant the links take you to, just used it for an example. Got my bag at a rally a few years ago.

I have the older model of the Multi-Fit Touring Luggage System with Day Bag (the main bag is pictured in my sig - sans the day bag) and it's great. No rain cover - doesn't need it - and believe me, I'd know if it needed it (that photo was taken on the tail end of a storm that dumped 8" of rain over Chicago). Sits well on the backrest (the new models are even better with the multiple sizing options built-in to the bag), no interference at all with the saddlebags. Went through a bunch of bags trying to save $50 and $$$ for $$$, this one was by far my favorite.

I'm actually tossing around the idea of getting the new ones for the extra pockets and tighter fit...

I had the Harley day bag and it was great but so pricey. They work perfect with the backrests. Now that I'm looking for a bigger bag for a week long trip I can't decide what to do. I KNOW the quality of the Harley ones but other people swear by T-bags and Kuryakn so it is all just spinning in my head.
Johnscrip you have me leaning back towards Harley and spending a bit more.

Not sure what bike you ride, but we have the Dowco Iron bags. Use the main bag and the day/overnight bag on top of that. They have a lot of space and are tough as nails. Made very well. $170 for both bags (approx)

They have a good assortment of bags for different needs/sizes. Our combo works well and holds a lot, coupled with the saddlebags. I used them on my RKC with the stock bags, before I switched to hardbags, and even with the way the stock bags opened they were fine.

I had the TBag Tahoe before and it was ok, but a little more cumbersome and harder to get stuff out of. I believe they are made better now, ours was an older style.

Here's a pic of the Dowco bags on my King

the saddlebag you are looking at may have an issue with the rain. with vertical zippers the rain can seep into the bag. you dont always have time to cover it.
i use sac bags . they are waterproof and made in the usa. warrenty is lifetime and if they dull from the sun you just mail them back and they reblack them or fix any problems.

I swear by my T-Bag, it's been very realiable as in no leaks or zipper problems. Pretty undestructible. I also have a Sac day bag, but they can get pricey.

Default Ultra Tour

Kuryakyn Ultra Tour for me and at least five of our group. I have a Harley bag but it is not as versatile as the Kury. The Ultra straps around the back rest, has lots of 'D' rings for tie down or strapping thigs to. It is flat on top so it is better for another bag on top. It comes with a rain cover and all seams are sealed. $132.00 on the Web.
