My 07 ultra transmission has several problems. 1st and 5th gear whine; 1st gear to high; 6th gear is mainly for over 70 mph. I was ready to order a Baker DD7 untill yesterday when I called Baker and asked if the 7 speed was compatable with the cruise control on my 07 ultra. The response was that on "some" bikes the speedometer would have to be set 4 mph fast in order for the cruise to work. Has anyone installed the DD7 and were there any problems with the cruise. Baker also said that I would lose the 6th gear light which is no problem. I have heard that the DD7 is a good tranny, any opinions? The DD7 has a lower ratios from first through 6th with 7th being direct ie 1 to 1. The DD7 is reputed to be very smooth and quiet. Since I am putting in the SE compensator and replacing the tranny input shaft bearing (noisy @ 10,000 miles) I want to do the tranny swap at same time. Any experience with the DD7 is requested.
