Yes you have to drill two 5/16 holes in the fairing and yes you can use your fairing bag, what part of DE you from? You can swing by Dover and check mine out if you like.

I also had mine painted to match (crimson red sunglow) and I was UNABLE to use my two pouch fairing bag, this fairing bag caused the fairing to gap between the inner and outter. Not sure if it is from the pods though, I have talked to a few guys on here that said their fairing is gapped without the pods... but for me, I couldnt really hold a lot of stuff in those fairing bags anyway, so I put it on the shelf. I would rather have quality tunes with GREAT sound that two small pouches on the fairing...

Dash Upgrade Complete!
Hey guys, I finally finished getting my HogPod painted and installed. I changed out my speaker grills to the Klockwerk grills and I wanted to paint the HogPod to match. I painted the pod itself with Harley Vivid Black paint and Duplicolor clearcoat, then for the HogPod grills I painted the black metal grills with some silver Duplicolor spray paint (if anybody wants the actual color let me know and I can post it when I get home later).
So what do you think?

Painting was a little more challenging than I expected, but considering I was not the most patient I think it turned out pretty good.
In addition to the HogPod I also added the Klockwerks windshield (jury's still out on it), swapped out the J&M speakers for some Hogtunes speakers (and amp), stainless steel lines/cables, braided levers, chrome hand controls, Billy Lane gauge trim, SS switch trim, and the HD radio trim. They all made a huge difference from the before. Other items from the before pic that aren't new but different, Wild 1 575's, removed the fairing mirrors and installed teardrop mirrors.
Hey PEZ, what do you think of the silver on black? BTW, love the HogPod and amp, what a difference!!

I installed the tweeters in addition to my Hogtunes amp and fairing speakers. WOW! The sound is great. I can play at much lower volume than before and hear it even better. Simply amazing!
Now that baseball season is back I was able to listen to a Yankees game on a ride home and the play by play was loud and clear.

There's a problem with the Hogtune PODS 
Mids and highs are perfectly crystal clear and now at ear level - I'm just luvin' it
BUT now when I ride around town, everybody is looking at me - cages, pedestrians, gangs, tweens, teens, seniors, homeless, businessmen, streetwalkers, blue suits, black suits, state troops, etc....
Most will start dancing or jiving to my tunes - it is annoying as all hell - I AM NOT A DJ
One a$$wipe at the packie yesterday starts to laugh and harass me in the parking lot in front of other customers - "hey, I never heard those kinda tunes on a Harley - ha, ha, ha, ha, ha......"
The lyrics of that tune playing said it all: "die MF die".
Sorry - the GETO BOYS get the most airtime on my Hogtunes system bar none - like it or not Joe Q Public
