I bought a set at Bass Pro Shops that were supposed to be for riding. Sorry to say it was the worst rain suit I've ever owned. It was light, comfortable, and looked great with the reflective piping. Getting soaking wet at highway speeds one too many times ended that! I saved for the Harley Gore-Tex pants and jacket. It was outrageously priced, but the best money I ever spent. They say it is guaranteed to keep you dry and they ain't lyin'!

You're in the minority. I rode in my Frogg's Toggs for about four hours in a row in rain that was so hard that cars were literally pulling off of the highway. I was riding in a group with some friends from Raleigh NC out to Tail Of The Dragon. The bottom dropped out of the sky on us soon into the trip. We all pulled over under an overpass and suited up for the rain. My rain suit kept me VERY DRY while my friends all got drenched. Froggs Toggs rain gear works GREAT. I do agree with the Stay Puffed comments, though. heh heh. The gear looks a little goofy. I have the light grey stuff. It looks goofy but it's very bright and noticeable which is what I want it to be when I'm riding in the rain.
The HD riding gear, at about $125 is move expensive, doesn't pack as small and may not breath as well, but is much more durable, has great reflectivity and excellent water protection and is also got protective heat shields where necessary.
Burned holes in the legs on the pipes while stuck in traffic for over an hour. As far as rain gear, they are cooler. I have the bright yellow and I'm call BIG BIRD. I would only buy these if you seldom ride in the rain.
I love mine. Especially in the summer heat of Florida. They breathe well. Yes, they are very heat sensitive. I've patched mine a few times. My last patch was an old piece of denim sewn on the leg that contacts to pipe the most.
I bought a set for myself and my wife and have used them for the past two years and have not had one issue. Just bought 2 sets of the good gray harley ones off of ebay for a steal.
LOVE my Frogg-Toggs. Agree that you had better keep them away from the heat. They can leave some ugly plastic on your pipes. That being said, I used them crossing Beartooth Pass from Yellowstone into Montana last Fall and they completely blocked snow, sleet, rain, and hail. No, it was not the perfect weekend. Great product, packs small, and really holds up to the weather.
