Default Ordered Tall Boy Handlebars

On the advice of the forum, I went in to my dealer Saturday to order a set of pull back or reduced reach handlebars. I told him I was looking to relieve my middle back pain while riding my 2009 RKC. I told him I was looking for a backrest for my solo seat as well. I'm 6'2" with fairly long arms.

He told me he would recommend going with the Tall Boy bars instead. He said it would raise my arms to more horizontal and he said they are able to pull them back a ways also if necessary. I trusted him and placed the order.

Here's my question: Should I have stuck to my guns and ordered the pull backs instead? I'm new to having a bike with so darn many options. I'm having problems keeping up.

Thanks.

It sounds like you got good advice to me. The bars on my RKC put the grips level with my arm pits and were pulled back far enough to let me use the backrest and still have my elbows bent. I'm also 6'2".

Good to hear! I swear, just when I think I know exactly what I want, all these other options get presented and........ You all know what I mean. Thanks for the response. I called him back today and asked him to add the audible alarm and beeper to the order as well. My wife thinks me hanging around this forum is bad for business.
