28 miles Northwest of Dalhart - Sedan, New Mexico is the closest "town", if you want to call it that. Mostly cattle and pesky pheasants out here, not too many people. I do need to visit Lubbock one of these weekends.
I call Abilene home now. The rattle snake roundup in Sweetwater Texas use to have a bike run put on by the Gypsy MC. I have been overseas for a while so dont know if they still do. The roundup is the 13-15 of March. They also use to have the Hot Damn run in the summer. You can also go to your local bike shop (Harley or otherwise) and they have run flyers posted.
The Rally In Ruidoso NM is talked about a lot on several Motorcycle forums. So it might also be worth checking out. (it's another one I can't personally speak about because I've not gone)
