For all those that have added Soos or their own 3/4" floorboard extensions, do you wish you did the 1" extensions or is 3/4" enough? Can't decide which way to go? Thanks for your help!
I just put the 1" on my bike about an hour ago. I am 6' tall and believe I made the right choice. If your feet dangle over the edge, like mine where, then go for it. You are talking a 1/4 inch. Its about comfort, the appearance is not that obvious. When I started, I didnt realize the stocks stuck out like they did. Do you scrape your floorboards now? Will the 1/4" make that much of a difference?
You are cramped now, go for the 1 inch IMHO. If I am not comfortable still, I will add the HD 1" forward kit for 80 bucks.
I added the 3/4" kit and think it is one of the best mods I've ever spent money on. I'm 6'3" and sometimes wish I had bought a kit that would move them forward but for now I'm very happy with the kit I bought and wish I had done it sooner. Yes, I have scraped on slow turns...something I need to remember now that they're a bit farther out.
Here's a better deal for your $80.00 and the seller is an HDF member
I have emailed him numerous times about the extenders for the 09. He told me they were coming out in Dec. Then all of a sudden they were'nt. He could clean up if he got up off his butt and got them out. He could at least answer his PM's. Not very impressed with Wild Bills customer service.
