It looks like I got it on this afternoon ok. The instrcutions ended up basically causing more of a problem than they were worth. I used word of mouth and the parts they gave me to get it figured out.
Work on these pitiful instructions HD!
Same here, the instructions were probably written by someone sitting on a blanket drinking a slurpee in another country.
I pulled my hair out for an hour until I put the directions down and used some common sense and mechanical skills.
Worst directions ever. But here's what I did; spent a few hours installing it, rode the bike, hated the bulkiness, removed it and sold it on here, bought a Mustang seat w/backrest, spent a few minutes installing it, LOVIN IT! That was almost a year ago.
But if you must use it, yes it's held on by one bolt using a crush style nut that is still stuck to my bike........ Poor design & worse instructions.

You are better off to not even look at the instructions, just remove your seat and go at it. It is not a problem to install, the instructions are just frustrating!
American Bagger magazine did a great step by step install of this, available with photos on their website. Way better than the instructions. Search the tech section.
