The 6th gear is even more usable as I am running about 2750 rpms at 70. Still not as much torque as my 89 but a big improvement over stock.

If you are on the fence about this upgrade come on over to the dark side.
Are these HD gears? If so do you have part numbers?
If not, how about a link to the seller?
What do you figure was the total cost?

The part numbers are 37846-99A Clutch Shell and 40269-85A Compensator Sprocket. I got them from Zanotti and it ran $353.07.

The only other cost was Primary Fluid and I reused the primary gasket.

EFI Touring Models used these parts for 3.37:1 primary gearing from '99-'01 with the MM EFI system. The gearing change will add about 400 rpm at 70 mph cruise for those of us with 5-speed transmissions and the stock 3.15:1 gearing.

Dawg,

Thanks for fielding all the questions, since I had to leave shortly after making the original post.
