Default Neutral Lite Flickers

Not sure if I was not paying attn. before, but last nite I noticed that when going 1st to second and second to 1st..And of course travel thru the neutral zone, the lite on dash flickers showing in neutral..Is this normal for the light to come on for a split second or have I a problem..Never saw before last nite..05 ULTRA.

Mine does it ever so often. Often enough that I never trust the light to tell me I'm in neutral.

If I'm reading that right yes its normal. Any time my bike shifts from first to second or down from second to first the nuetral light will come on briefly.

Not to stoop to cager analogies.....but, shifting an automatic (car) from Park to Drive flashes the Reverse lights in back on it's way. I would think it's totally normal.

yeah its normal it uses a metal contact to tell the bike your in nutral so its common for the contact to light the N while shifting... but mine sometimes don't even come on and i have to rock the bike to know if i am in it

Normal.

Shift faster for shorted blinks.
