I just got done installing the Factory stainless steel touring bars. They are two inches pull back over stock on a 09 Ultra. I also bought the new TBW sensor and a clutch cable and a ABS upper brake line. I returned all of them because the stock stuff had plenty of length. Now i can sit in a up right position. Sorry no pictures.

So you can you the stock cables, dont have buy anything when upgrading the handle bars? Just want to make sure I'm reading this right.
The part number is 56176-08 and no other parts are needed on the 09. with ABS. Don't know if the cables are long enough on other years. If you want to run the wires inside the bars you can. I elected not to because of the extra work. I did route the clutch cable under the inner fairing brace. Stock its on top of the brace. It has the same amount of cable now as it did before. The clutch works fine from lock to lock and the brake hose is more than long enough. So you spend 149.00 for a very high polished stainless bar that fits just like the factory one but sets your arms back two inches.

What would I need if I did the internal wiring? I would want to go that route.
You would only need a delphi pin release tool. You can get these at Napa. The pins release from the back of the wiring connectors. Just remember to pull the main fuse on the left side. There are seven screws holding the frt. fairing. Remove the four torx head bolts holding the passing lights and you can move the inner fairing forward and gain access to the handlebar clamp. Should be able to do the job in a few hours. Good luck. I just finished mine and fired it up in the shop because its SNOWING again outside.
I THINK YOU WILL REALLY LIKE THEM. They are polished stainless and look great and the hand position feels good. I moved my back rest back and now my hwy. pegs are to far forward so the bars did move me back a couple of inches.
I just ordered those bars from http://www.zanottimotor.com/ will be here next week, have to wait on a windshield bag that is backordered. I think the bars where 129 with shipping?
What did you have to do with the clutch cable? Are you able to disconnect it from the grip?
How long did it take you?
Did you use the OEM handlebar clamps? Some on different forums say to use a 1 piece clamp?
Thanks for any help.
Don't want to rain on your parade but why not get the Khrome Werks Sweepers +2 for less than 1/2 that cost and get the same results if not better !! Just my 2 cents worth !!!
