Thermostat oil stick for Road Kings

Guys, I see these oil dip sticks with the oil temp on the top of stick. Has anyone used one, some say they are to short for the RK and others use the digital and they suck or break, so I wondered if it might work and give you an accurate reading on the temp of the oil.

Put a digital one in my 06 EG six months ago. No issues to report. I have to give it a fair rating. Temp is pretty accurate and that is what I'm most concerned about. Fill, I check that regularly. For me seeing is believeing.

Probably one of the more maligned accessories from the MoCo, i have one...would I ever get another one...probably not.

Mine came apart on me. Probably about 25,000 miles after install. It was the digital variety and the chrome trim cap separated from the unit. I got it out and stuffed the stocker back in!
