Default Delivery This Friday!!!

Hey I'm having my 2009 Black Pearl Street Glide delivered on friday. Just wondering if anyone has any horror stories of scratches or anything on their delivered bike. Maybe advice of important things to check out before I let them ride away.

Thanks,
Dan

I found a scratch on the lower left tank and on the back of the right saddlebag.

Don't know if this is your first bike, or first Harley, but:I brought my wife to help me check the bike out for any scratches or defects when I went to the dealer. Helps to have another set of eyes checking it out. Make sure you understand at least the basic controls on the bike when they brief you on your new scoot. Some of the more complicated instructions, like if you forget your fob and keys on how to enter security codes and such, I really didn't care. You can learn the intricate stuff later from the owners manual.

Nope not my first bike, I traded in my 08 1200Custom because harley offered the trade up deal. I'm already fairly familiar with the bike, just wanted to see if their were any common defects people found when checking out their new bike. I should mention the dealer put on slip ons and detachable docking hardware and a sissy bar.

Just look it over good top to bottom, front to rear. You'll be fine. Congrats.

My night train had fine scratches on the bars, where the straps were attached. I was planning to replace them anyway, so I didn't make an issue of it. I was worried about the Ultra, but no problems what so ever.

My bike had a mark on one of the chrome engine guards. Dealer pointed it out right away and said I'd be getting replacement guards as soon as I wanted them. Great service over all.
