Default Oil Change

I bought an 08 Road King last May. Have hardly ridden it due to time/work constraints... It only has 200 miles on it! My question is should I have the oils changed, in all three holes, now or in the very near future due to the time that I have had it rather than the mileage or just wait till it's 1000 mile service? Thanks in advance for your responses.

+1.......it might be 5 years before you have 1000 miles at your rate of riding

Soos is right it wouldnt hurt. Worse case wait till you get time to get it done. Maybe try and get done by 500 or 700 miles as a goal. That wouldnt hurt either just think you havent even broken in the motor let alone the oil. Good luck

It's only a year old, I'd wait at least to a minimum of 500 miles if the fluids are up.

Wait until you get the 1000. If you don't plan to ride it much, get at least 500-700 miles before you change it.

The trans and primary are fine but motor oil should be changed annually no mater how much you ride

Around 95% of all the wear the engine is going to see over the first thousand miles happens in the first 20 miles. Change the fluids and live large this year.

Should be fine as long as you kept it in a garage with fairly stable temps. Take it for a nice long ride and enjoy.

Even when I was sea a lot in the Navy and the Merchant Marine over the years never let oil sit over 6 months regardless of Mileage.. My Opinion Only .. but are reasons for this ..
