I've always felt that black pipes added a nice contrast to off set the chrome. Just my 2 cents worth.

My son put on a set of Rinehart true duals on his 04 RK just after bike was new, and went through three rear cylinder header pipes in the first three years. One of the baffels came apart after a year an a half. Rinehart sent a new header pipe, and each time was a newer revised part. Rinehartsent everything free no shiping or cost to him. He still has 04 KR, rides it hard and fast with no problems lately.

I had this conversation with Jamie at Fuel Moto. If I recall correctly, he told me the 96" engines like the "two into one" of stock headers more than if you have a true dual setup.
Call Jamie and ask him about it.

I went with the fullsac true duals. never had a lick of problems and I also went with the recored stock slip ons I sent them to fulsac as well. Never been more pleased with the sound or the performance. i can bet I got 10 more horses with that and the AC and the Thundermax Auto tuner.

You will almost always see a better HP\torque curve with 2 into 1 pipes. It comes down to how you ride and what look you are going for.
