where you ordering your docking hardware and other parts from? I looked up parts on Zanotti's and it looks like for all the stuff I want its a little over 20% off. That would include floorboard kit for passenger, sissy bar, pad, luggage rack, docking system and highway peg mounts.(will use passenger pegs for highway pegs)
Dealer was about 900 and change, and Zanotti's was about 700 with shipping.
Anyway, just to go over my part numbers again before placing order. My biggest prob. is deciding on floorboards for passenger.
Good luck with install, let us know how you make out and how easy you found it to be.

+1 on the docking cover kit. just added them. just chrome magnets and now you don't see any of the black rubber mounting....just chrome.....little expensive but then what friggin isnt
When you get all the parts on. Don't add the locktite or tighten them down at first. I made sure my passenger backrest and luggage rack would go on easy. Then, I added loctite and tightened carefully each bolt. It's easy and turned out great.
Did you need to relocate the air shock fill tube ?????
No
I found a deal on eBay for the docking kit, covers and backrest for $390. It was a big HD dealer but I can't remember the name but they have them on there all the time.
I have heard that the 09 docking hardware installation is a piece of cake compared to earlier versions.
Its very easy on the 09s. 3 bolts on each side and your done. Bolts on right over the top of the fender strut cover. Piece of cake. (unlike prior years)
