I have only been a member here a short time. Not that many posts (because I have to work and when I'm not working, I'm riding). I get on here when I have spare time usually in the early morning before I go to work.
SG riders are posting all the time, as a matter of fact it seems 3/4's of the posts on the touring section are SG based. Why aren't you riding instead of sitting behind a keyboard? Most of the SG riders that post here seem to be very passionate about their MC to the point of being obnoxious to other posters.
So my question is really to the ADMIN of this board (I guess) Why not give the SG riders their own little sub section on the board that way they can live in their own little kingdom and bash each others brains out and not bore the rest of us about how wonderful their bikes are and how the rest of us made such a terrible mistake in buying anything but an SG.
I don't know about any of the other bagger riders but I for one am sick of reading the stupid blurbs about how they just picked up their new SG and look, look at my picture blah, blah, blah, (get real man, seen one seen them all and that applys to all the Harley models).
Come on give the rest of us a break - PLEASE GIVE THEM THEIR OWN SECTION, PLEASE !!!
They tried the sub section thing, and it did not work. As for riding, I ride as much as possible. It is still fairly cold and rainy here in Up-State NY!! Plus not to mention, most of the touring bikes share the same parts.
O'ya, it is 24 degrees here this morning, and yes I still rode the SG to work too!!
Not that many posts, but every one I've seen seems to be a b*tch about something. Maybe you oughta relax and go with the mood of the forum? Guys like their bikes, they're happy with their purchases, they want to share. What's the issue? Yeah, I know what the stock bikes look like, I've seen 'em. Somebody wants to brag on his and enjoy the moment, I've got no problems yakking with him about it. It's why I'm on this forum.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this is just some good-natured ribbing. Maybe I've missed your other posts that didn't have all the acerbity. Anything's possible.
I don't agree with the sub section thing (bad idea) - I don't think any SG guy or gal posts anymore than anyone else. Besides if they go off to their own domain how would I be able to tease them???
Look - I think you have a hard on because you bought an SG and brought it back and it cost you some money - but don't take it out on these guys. Actually, I enjoy their posts and we're all supposed to be a tight group - so Dude you need to chill or just skip the SG posts, regards.
My Dad has always told me something that I go by, " to each his own" . I dont think it is a model specific obsession, just a bunch of guys and gals thrilled with the ultimate ride, a Harley. [sm=badidea.gif]
