Default Back rest for Road Glide question

I am in the process of setting up my newly purchased 08 RG. I ordered the rider backrest that is not adjustable ($100 cheaper). I am wondering if I will regret it. Any thoughts out there. I can still change my mind if I act quick.

Cheers,
Rick

I am hoping to get feedback on a adjustable backrest vs non adjustable in order to avoid any regrets

The guys I know all recommend the adjustable.
The more you can do with an accessary the better it is ? no, ecspecially when
it comes to comfort........get the adjustable, hurry quickly before it's too late

I have the fixed backrest and am happy with it. The adjustable just didn't do it for as it felt like it was pushing on me. The newer ones may be different though. I do know that the newer brackets for the fixed are much better so maybe the adjustable is too.

I have the adjustable BUT only keep it in one position. Well, when I even have it on. If you go with a deep seat like a Saddlemen you don't even need the rest.

Default Rider Backrest

I, too, leave mine in the fully rearward position on my '07 RG. A few of us discussed them a couple of weeks ago, all present do the same. If the stationary model has that position then that is what I'll purchase next time around.

Didn't mean to be smart, I was just not wanting to give a discouraging word.
Check out this link and remember that mine is an 09.

Wldbill -
No worries, Never took it that way. I just wanted to make sure my message was clear.
I agree with you, I might just stick with the fixed backrest.
Can I ask what seat you have on your 09RG?
