I just finished installing my "chrome front end" on my '07 StreeGlide today. It looks real nice, but I have a problem!! I installed the battery when everything was buttoned up, hit the key, and had no power to anything but the security system. No power to lights, gauges, stereo, fuel pump, etc.. All connections in fairing seem to be complete, I think it's a security system problem. Some help or suggetions would be appreciated, thanks.
The Maxi-fuse looks good. When unplugged the security light on speedo goes out, so I know that power is there for that. I did check all connections twice and the fuses did look good. The bike has no elec. power at all, nothing except for the sec. system. Turn signals will flash until approached with fob, turn the ignition switch and NOTHING works. Crazy!!
I am sure you had to take the fairing cap off to put on your front end, which requires removing the ignition switch ****. It is very possible that you don't have the **** back in the ignition switch properlly. If you search this forum you will find some info on how to get it lined back up and working. A long skinny screwdriver and a pen light are helpfull.

This was/is a possibility. I did have it apart, but I think I put it back together properly. I'll search this and go over it again.
Yea that is what it sounds like to me...you didnt get the switch plug correctly. That is the main one for power. I would look at that one real close, Also you wanna make sure you got the ground connected.
I can almost garentee you that the ignition switch **** is your problem, I have had the same issue you have and so have many others on this forum. When the **** is not in the switch the right way when you turn it, it does not turn the contacts in the switch so it is just like you never turned the bike on.

That's what I am thinking. The switch will lock the forks and turn to all 4 positions with a solid click though. I wish I would have never touched this, especially since I did not have too to do the fork swap. I did remove the inner fairing but I made sure all connections were put back correctly. I wonder if I may have pulled/loosened a wire from the switch housing, just a thought. Thanks for the input guys, I know it must be something I am overlooking, electrical is not my forte.
