On the baggers, 09 seat pans are different from the pre-09's. Mean City Cycles has said there is not much to work with as far as narrowing and lowering these seats because of the frame change to the bikes. So, what works on older models is likely not to work on our 09's.
Actually, going lower and narrowing the seat is still a option. Goind lower with the memory foam modification isn't though. With the rider's choice modification we can still lower the driver's sitting position and narrow the seat which actually helps more than going lower.
If your desire is to keep the stock seat pattern on the 09 SG's you can find a 08 SG seat and it will bolt right on and we can lower that seat with the memory foam modification without any problems but still, narrowing the seats where your legs go down helps more than the actual lowering does.
I think Monstead just about said it all. At 5' 11" I don't consider myself vertically challanged, but after a Muatang solo (to hard, but low) and a Mustang touring seat (way to high, but comfy) the Sundowner (two up seat, since my wife likes to ride with me) is the lowest and the most comfortable for me.
