Default Road Glide Headlight bezel...

OK - I'm missing something else now.. (after my mess with installing the lower fairing support bar)

I have the CVO headlight bezel, but once I take off the bubble, it seems that the lights are too far out.

I've read where you guys have pulled the bubble off, and put the bezel on - but mine no worky...

Do I need to dial the lights "back" or something??

Any help. as always, is appreciated...

J

I had this same exact problem - the frame holding the headlights was protruding too far for the CVO bezel to get a good grip on the slots that hold it in.

The headlight is adjusted through two screws that are reached through holes on the outside of the inner fairing (near the fork tubes). In my case, the headlights were aiming a bit high, so adjustment of these screws lowered them to spec and provided enough clearance for the CVO bezel to mount.

Some other folks needed to remove their outer fairing and adjust the overall depth of the headlight frame. Perhaps you'll get lucky and be able to adjust them enough through the inner fairing holes.

Ugh.

I better get lucky...

Had a beautiful weekend here in Milwaukee - and I spent more time wrenching than riding...

Today - of course - it's cold and raining.

I had to dial my whole headlight assembly back just a little bit so the CVO cover would snap on. you have to pull the outer fairing to get to the top headlight adjuster screw. I cranked all 3 of mine back in about 1/4" and then the cover snapped right in place.

Thanks for the info - I figured it would be something like that...
