As already mentioned, I'd strongly suggest you enroll in your state's MSF motorcycle safety course and buy a copy of the "Ride Like A Pro" DVD. Both are great teaching tools and will make you a more competent rider no matter how much experience you may have.

Congrats on your new bike. You are starting out on a much better bike than I did 20 years ago. I started with a honda 750 piece of sh*t. That thing leaked everywere. But I was just happy to be on a bike. Now on my second Harley, life is good I tell you.
