The form a funnel looks like the way to go. I just changed the oil on the roadking and made a mess. It leaked more oil on the floor than the ironhead does. I don't think it's worth $25 just to change the oil filter but when you consider all the other things it will do I may get one. Primary oil is a pain to put in. The oil on the John Deere is a pain to do too.
I wonder if Harbor Freight carrys something like this?
Anyone have any experience with this product? For $20.00, I thought I might give it a shot. I know many will advise the 2 liter pop bottle method will do the same, but just asking.
It looks like an interesting idea, invented by a guy that got tired of oil spills in his garage. The way I look at it is that the dealer wants $90+ to change my oil with synthetic, but I can do it myself with Mobil 1 for about $30. So the first time you use it, it will pay for itself. If it saves a big mess, then you're a happy guy everytime you use it.
Was going to order it until I got the email telling me that it was going to cost me $45.25 with shipping...staying with my cutout pop bottle..
I was quoted $7 shipping to a US address (pick it up there) making total cost U$32. Great idea with a lot of applications - even at that seems a bit pricy though.

Had some email correspondence with the product manager for Form-A-Funnel. Explained that I liked the idea of the product but for a casual mechanic (ie: 2 or 3 oil changes a year) it became pretty expensive if shipped here to Canuckland and the total cost was in the area of C$54 after GST & PST, plus the possibility of $25 customs brokerage with some shipping companies.
Since we are only about 2 1/2 hours from the border and go riding across the line frequently, it isn't difficult to have stuff shipped to the US side and we can just bring it back with us. Now the cost is U$31.50 or C$39. Then he advised me that if I wasn't in a big hurry for it (like 2 or 3 weeks) he could piggy back it on an order to an Auto parts store on the US side and save me the shipping. Now, it's down to U$25 - about C$31. It now makes more sense and I may spring for one in awhile.
Decent people and made a real effort to find a way to get the deal done. By the way, Newpig sells a lot of industrial & mechanics supplies.
