Got a couple of pair. One from dealer for 20 bucks, fogs alittle. And another pair I got at bike week for $20. Haven't been caught in the rain to try them yet. The fog factor I've cut down by using the same thing you use for a dive mask to clear it. But I've got to say the first time I used goggles in the rain, how cool was that ride. Not getting pounded in the eye ***** with water. kinda like being in the swimming pool.
I wanted to know what are the best googles/glasses for riding in the rain. (I know full face shields are the best but prefer not to wear one)
Haven't used goggles much over the years and instead prefer to pop on a face shield in rain, which you've said you don't like. Goggles don't keep the water out of the helmet, and rain leaking around my head isn't something I like very much.

Yes!!!!! Rode to Biketoberfest in Daytona in '08 and it rained in buckets on the way down I only had a 1/2 helmet(HJC) and sunglasses.....That did not help a bit my contacts almost floated out of my eyes......My wife wears a Scorpion helmet w/flipdown shield and I was able to trade helmets with her.....The Scorpion helmet w/ shield WORKS VERY WELL!! I was very impressed with the helmet especially in the rain.....
I have been caught in some pretty good rains down here in SE Texas. I ride with Wiley X sunglasses with foam pad inserts and haven't had a problem with fog while moving. The dust coming in from the cotton fields doesn't blow in either. There's a thread around here with the Wiley X w/ Transition for $30!!

I use one of their open face helmets and the Retro Pilot T1 goggles.Nothing is going to be perfect in the rain but they're the best I've found.
They have distributors in the U.S.A.
Will Harley goggles work over prescription glasses. I am not so much interested in rain protection since I use a 3/4 helmet and the visor, which is fitted with an antifog shield, works well. My problem was dust across the prairies and plains last year. It got behind my glasses and was a right pain. By the way, good idea about scuba stores. Will see if they have something that will work on my prescriptions
I wear Guard Dog Goggs over my glasses with a half helmet, they work great at keeping out the wind/dust. I have a set with smoke lenses for the day rides and another with clear lenses for at night. These are all I ride with anymore.
I've got a pair that fog up when you first put them on, but as soon as you start moving the air vents start clearing them up and then they pretty much stay clear. they're not Wiley-X, but they only cost $10. I bought clear and dark for that price.
Mine is the Transitions lenses, so I don't have to worry about changing anything. Of course the cost was higher!
I like these, but have not yet been caught in a heavy rain. But in the cold, or even a light rain, they've worked great -- no fogging. I also ust the anti-fogging stuff from the dive shop. On these, the lenses snap out, away from the frame, to allow good ventilation.
