Tank bag?

Sounds like to me if you'll be doing enough riding to want a tank bag for a map, maybe you could justify a GPS.
If you're even considering going that way, don't do like I did... I bought the Zumo 450, but didn't realize it wouldn't support the Garmin XM system which is way cheaper than any other XM system you can find out there and integrates beautifully with the Zumo.
With the 450 or the 550 you get the added benefit of putting up to 1000 MP3 songs on an SD card so no more need for CD's.
With the 550 you get the car mount system which cost me about $100 to buy on ebay because the 450 doesn't come with it.
Also with the 550, you get bluetooth so it'll talk to your cell phone.
Anyway, I know it's a huge expense - and most of us felt that way when we bought our Zumo's - but I doubt you could find one of us who regrets spending the money on them.
