I got my HogTunes Tweeter Pods installed yesterday evening and they sound great. The only problem I had was with one of the cloth covered grilles. I wanted to use them but one of them was "geed up" from the factory. It had two big globs of glue, that I guess was used to attach the cloth to the grille, that showed through the cloth. It was such a glob that the grille wouldn't even seat into the pod. It looked like crap so I was forced to use the metal grilles. Other than that the installation was a breeze and well worth the time it took to do it.
looks great, hope they sound great too, nice touch
I recently installed the Biketronics kit with SONY CDX 630UI, Hog Tunes speakers, and the tweeters. This unit sounds GREAT! Guys @ work cant believe it's on a bike. Hope to get the fairing lowers with Pez's Lower Speaker Kit and Hogtunes amp soon.
How hard was the install? Do you need an amp or is it just the hogtunes speakers and the tweeters? Do you have to drill into your dash?
Install is not hard at all. Time wise....depends on how much you're 'looking' inside your fairing. For me, it was the first time I'd ever pulled the fairing....and I installed the Biketronics radio kit at the same time. Hooking them up is just a matter of unplugging your fairing speakers...inserting the jumpers....then rehooking.
Realistically....an hour or so. You wont be disappointed.
