'06 SG, 95" w/203's and a 2/1. 38 mpg's regulary.
Tuned by Doug Lofgren w/ SERT. Closer to $400 but well worth it, will do it again with next scoot.

I know NOTHING about the SERT, so I don't know if this would work or not,,, Can you copy your buddy map and put in your's to see if it helps. You would need to save yours first so you could put it back if it didn't. Just a thought I had.

Stupid question #1- What kind of mileage were you getting before the dyno tune and when did you add the SERT? It would help to know if you were riding with the SERT and no dyno or if it was added at the time of the dyno.

I'd suggest finding an indy with a dyno. I had the dealership tune my bike and it sucked. They slapped in a canned map, did one pull, and said it was good. Took it to an indy and he made huge improvements with no change in the bikie. Just a better tune.

Not sure if this is your case, but from what I have read, there is not a canned SEST or SERT map for true duals. If your tuner started with a canned map it may be way off for your setup. Find out the experience of the guy tuning your bike and if he has experience tuning non factory pipes and components. The guy operating the dyno and making the changes can either make it sing or run like crap.

You need to talk to the guy and tell him what you want in a tune. As mentioned before, they can tune for performance, mileage, or anywhere in between. But he needs to know what you want.

Here is the Stupid answer: I was running a PCIII and a SERT. But it was 25 mpg and alot more power.

From the top
1. Bike had 995 miles on it when I bought it. SERT, Vance & Hines 2-1 Propipe, Stage 1 SEAC
2. SERT Bub 7's TD SEAC stage 1
3. SERT PCIII Bub 7's TD ESAC stage 1
4. SERT Bub 7's TD SE Heavy Breather
5. SERT Dyno Tuned Bub7's TD SE heavy Breather
I just want my carb back

Taylorized, I made the trip from Mishawaka to valley racing in Beecher IL to make sure I got a good tune. 45 MPG on my modded 103 ultra. Sounds like somebody got some splaining to do. Mike

In order to copy your buddys sert you will have to take it to someone who is trained and knows this software to pull the map. Each sert is set up and coded to the bikes internal serial number embeded in the on board computer.

You can not just connect a sert from another bike to copy the map.
