Two things the dealer told me:

The extended warranty works in conjunction with your 2 year mfg warranty so the max you can have is a total of 5 years not 7.

If you had any motor work done to your bike it will void the extended warranty, even if it was done before delivery. (two dealers confirmed this)

this is not correct, I bought my 05 night train and the warrentee was good unitll 2012. When I traded it in this year, I got reimbursed for 3 years.

Extended warranties are a Huge profit center for Harley. A lot of claims they'll deny for one reason or another. I'll just fix my own and spend the money on chrome.

You Got That Right ! the paint on my crank case started changing colors going from
black to gray but they said it was something that i put on it so they did not do anything to help me I still have the gray sploch but I've learned to live with it

hd owner you are right to an extent it works with your 2yr warranty so you can buy a 3yr or 5yr extension and in conjuction with your factory warranty it makes you warranty go to 5yrs or 7yrs trust me my dad just bought a 7yr and i bought the 5yr on my 07 superglide.

I am saving up some money each week out of my pay check. So, it want hurt to bad when I do purchase the EXT. WARR.. I was told it would cost me about 1,800.00 for additional 5 years.
