Yup! Doing three this year. The Chesapeake, The National and the Mid- Atlantic. I think that'll be enough [ I only have so much motrin and clutches!..LOL]
The competitions I have seen included the timed fast runs thru the cones where the rider strives for the shortest possible time thru the course and the slow runs where the rider attempts to spend the longest time inside the course without putting a foot down. In general, for one of the courses I watched, if the fast times were avout 60 seconds for the BMW riders, the HDs fast times were about 63 seconds.
But the one I enjoyed most was 'Last Man Standing' where there are two riders inside a coned area that has an obstacle. Each rider tries to block and manaeuver and intimidate the other rider into putting a foot down, knocking over a cone or going outside the course. (or falling down)!!!
In both cases we got an occasional good look at the bottom of the engine, the exhaust system and frame.
