Default grips

just looking for some opinions on the best grips. I have an 08 street glide that is great in every way except for the fact that my right hands goes numb after about 30 min. Was told this most likely due to the grips being too small. any thoughts?

Yeah, if you want bigger grips the Iso is a great option. I run the HD Aileron (sp?) and really like them.

Dragon---PS, make sure you get the one with the throttle boss as shown in the link I gave. Even with this grip your hand might still need a break. The throttle boss helps take the pressure off when you use the heal of your hand.

+1 on the Iso grips. The handrest comes in handy even on Cruise Control bikes when you're in traffic and can't use the cruise.

+2 on the Kury ISO's.....and you can also get a set with the throttle boss as already mentioned and order another for the left side, keeps things even and does help the wrist.

Man if you think the stock grips are too small - you must have gorilla hands!
I just bought the Performance machine grips and I can't believe the difference from the stockers. They are perfect for me. They are a smaller dia. but that's what I like.
Very comfy.
And yes I do have man hands (xlg) before you flame!

OK...I'll buy off on the ISO Grips...I have them and I love they way they work to ease the numbness...they come with a throttle boss. But, let's look a little deeper. How about your seat and your posturing in it? Do you lean a bit forward cause you're reaching for the bars? Maybe it's cause you might need a bar with a bit more pullback. When I got My reach seat...alot of My numbness went away too...cause it brought me 1/2 closer. Have someone take a pic of you in your normal riding position...see if you're leaning forward. If so...maybe it's time for new bars too!

Just a thought!

ride safe, Mike
