About the numbness - do you wear gloves?
If so don't tighten them around the wrist. It'll put pressure on the nerve (ulner - I think) that runs to your fingers. It's only part of the solution but it really does work.
Like StreetGlideMedic say's there's alot of variables.
After about 20 mins, my right hand would go numb. Never the left. I have 'SHORT FAT FINGERS'...and the ISO do seem to be bigger, but I find that my finger tips can sit in the 'grooves'...it's more relaxing to my grip...therefore my hand seldom goes numb anymore. When it does, the throttle boss allows me to relax for just that split second to relieve the numbness.
Thanks for all the info guys, looks like I will be getting a set of ISO grips. Was already looking at the reach seat so that was a great piece of advice as well.
+1 on the isa grips ....add heat demons too them also it really helps ! make sure you get the boss ends it makes a difference. As far as gloves these I have read alot about and plan on trying them out but the website has some awesome reading and information about hand wrist pain while riding and how to diagnose it.
I got the HD Skull grips. They were not my first choice (I liked the look of the stealth grips) but an ol timer (my father in-law) told me to try them out with my gloves on. A local dealer has a handlebar rack with about 20 of the grips installed so you can try them out for feel. The stealth grips were hard to keep ahold of as my gloves kept slipping off. So if you can try them out first that is what I would recommend.
