Leave mine on and open the vents. No problems.

I don't because I like the way they look. I keep them open and also open the Dragon wings. Both channel the air inward. I tossed the Air Temp and put in an oil temp guage. I have not had a temperature problem other than burning thighs in town traffic. Thinking of getting cool thighs before Sturgis. I've riden in 100 plus but try to stay out of stop and go at that temperature. May consider a fan down the road.

Nope... mine stay on and I open the vents... I close the vents when it rains... Sometimes I ride without rain bottoms if it is not raining too hard... They seem to keep my legs dryer...

If you carry a passenger for long runs, you have to remove them. The heat really builds fast on her legs, and she will put her feet up on your bags, scratching the hell out of them. (speaking from experiance)
Yeah, what Scout said! Temps here are starting to hit 70's and 80's regularly during the day. I pulled mine Sunday and they probably won't go back on 'til October.

And why is that? Does she have a bike to put them on or does she just strap them on her legs?

And why is that? Does she have a bike to put them on or does she just strap them on her legs?

She gets into a cleaning craze sometimes .
And when she does , Things become missing . And or damaged !
So my wife says that they should be safe in my closet ???
She means well ! And this isnt a bash at her . Its protecting !!!
