I'm just about ready to finish up putting Race Tech emulators, new springs, and chromed forks on the '05 RK Custom..
This is my first time adding fork oil...
Before using the depth gauge/syringe tool...do you add oil to cover the damper rod...pump the lower fork (is that what's meant by 'bleeding' it?)...and then add oil to the required depth??
Put dampener rod in..then emulator..then spring..screw cap on..flip over..tighten dampener rod bolts..flip back over..remove cap..remove spring..remove emulator..pour in 11oz. oil..work the fork several times..let sit a few minutes..install emulator..seat emulator with spring..remove spring..work fork more..let sit..draw oil out with fork compressed..install spring..install cap.
