Default Review - Saddle Bag Lid Covers

Ok, I put these on my hard bags day one bbefore the bike ever had 1 mile on the bike. I have almost 2000 miles on now with the Saddle Bag Lid Covers found -----> HERE

I took the lid covers off tonight. I found a small amount of dust where it was able to get in, but not very much of it. There was no damage under them at all. The paint still looked like it was factory fresh. I have even been caught out in the rain 3 times with the bike. These covers work very well at protecting the Hard Bag Lids. The velcro that holds them on is just about ever where under the lid, so the covers really can not move to scuff the lid.

I would reccomend them to anyone that is looking to protect the lids from boot marks or just about anything else.

Man theres alot of VELCRO to hold these down. Will it be eazy to take the lids on and off all the time. I'm planning on having them on only when the wife rides. Purchased yesterday.

I have had zero problems putting the lids on or off. I wipe them down every once in while to clean them. They have been on the bike for 2 - 1/2 months, and there was only a small amount of dust under them. I cleaned that off, waxed the lids for the first time, wiped the small amount of dust off from the under-side of the velcro straps, blew underside off with an air hose and re-installed them. I could not find anything scratched or anywhere that they had rubbed the lids.

If anybody is afraid of scatches you can always put some light adhesive painters tape on the lids, then put on the covers for a little peace of mind.

I wonder if that non adhesive plastic that sticks by static would do the job? You know like the stuff the make alot of the window stickers out of.

I sorta like the looks of the things, but I haven't ever had any scratches or dings in my saddle bag lids after almost 4 years, so don't know if they're necessary.... I guess I don't ride any passengers with big, heavy feet....

A more practical invention would be a place to air the shocks without taking the bag off, or at least putting the nozzle on the high side...
