any ideas out there why H-D installs the handlebar controls on the 08 and up Road Glides that include the PTT button/switch? I don't get it, a PTT with no intercom or CB. seems weird...unless the MOCO expects most roadglide riders to upgrage to something akin to a Road Glide Ultra.
Maybe the 2010 Road Glide is going Ultra, tour pack, lower fairings and CB.

Actually on the earlier touring models also. Yep, it's there to upgrade and make things simple (plug and play) if you want the Ultra goodies. Expensive but its prewired for trouble free service.
You just revived a very old thread, but I do have two answers:
1.) So you can wire the push on the PTT to a garage door opener inside your fairing so you don't have to do the overpriced horn one and it's completely hidden. (I did this)
2.) Is so you can wire the up/down part of the button to air suspension.
Oh, and the speaker switch is to turn the rear speakers on/off. Yes, I know you don't have them, but like everything else you are describing they apparently pre-wired those things to be turned into Ultra's.
