I have a hot rod and a Harley, I found out that the only way to stop putting chrome or out stuff on them,is saleum. That stops the addiction. Oh, and that aint hapnen.
Once an admitted chromoholic you never really get well. You just have to refrain from buying more chrome. You're better if you don't hang around with other chromoholics. That way you won't be tempted to give in. Don't ask me how I know!
Just remember that the chrome itself gets addicted to polish and the polish is naturally addicted to being applied to cleaned surfaces. Cleaning and polishing addictions cost garage time that you have to pay for with ride time.
I added lots of chrome to my Sportster when I had it but am really fighting the addiction with the Electra Glide that I have now. The ride time high is much better than the cleaning and polishing high and gas is cheaper than chrome.
