Having recently switched over from a metric, I noticed my '06 Road King doesn't shut off when I put the stand down if she's in gear. Wondering if something's been unhooked or bypassed so that the bike will run / start if it's in gear with the stand down?
That's how I used to shut off my previous bike, never used the kill switch, just pulled up, dropped the stand and turned off the key.
Does that mean your metric won't sit on the stand and idle? How do you warm it up?
metrics will run in neutral with the stand down. however, when you put it in gear (even with the cluth pulled in), if the stand is down the bike will die.
