I use mine all of the time. It keeps me from wandering past speed limit. It is sometimes tuff to use with my buds unless I am up front. They do not have it and their speed is all over the place.

I just installed the CC on my bike a couple weeks ago. I haven't had much of a chance to try it but my short tests have been great. I think I'll enjoy it on a long hwy run.

I us mine when I ride alone on nice long trips. I also use it with my riding groups, I love the look on their faces when I drop my right hand off the bars and my bike doesn't slow down !!LOL !!!

Funny story.....this is the first bike I've had cruise on and when I first got it I was tooling along the interstate at 75 and had to slow down for cars ahead. I rolled back on the throttle and nothing happened and now I'm closing in fast on the cars when it dawned on me the cruise was on! DOH!!!!!! Felt like a complete dope......

Might want to have that looked at, if you just bump my throttle it shuts the cruise off, I've done it by just resting my hand on it while going over the expansion joints in the highway.

Anyway, when I bought my Ultra, salesman asked, "what can I show ya today?", I said, "lets start with whatever you have with cruise control on it."

That thing will spoil you.

Hmmmmm.....I'll have to double check this. It was a few years ago and I'm pretty sure it didn't shut off when I rolled the throttle back. Maybe I just thought I did and with the cars coming up just hit the brake instead.
I'll check this out.

You should be able to accelerate a few mph's by turning the throttle with the cruise on.
As soon as you let go it'll go back to the set speed. At least it does on my 07 pre-ETC.

Since I log a lot of highway miles I can't live without cruise now - it's the whip!!!!

Yah you can accelerate all you want and it will go back to the cruz setting. But if you apply reverse throttle or activate the brake switch, cruz will reset to zero mph. I wonder if the THW or Cable operated controls have different responses?? I can accelerate from 70 up to 90 for example to pass and cruz will go back to where I had it set at originally.

Also a nice feature is if you want to bump up a mile or two just push the cruse set forward and to slow down a mile or two just tap it back wards. You got to luv this cruse.
