My '07 does it, figured that it had to be the tires.

My EGC does it and it much more noticable with the soft lowers on. Bounces the sound waves right to me. Hear a lot more mechanical noise also.

Dunlops tend to make noise while in turns... my E-3's howl like a pack of cicadas when I heel the RG over in a curve, the faster , the more I lean, the angrier the cicada sound.
but I'd still check the brakes, as well as both wheel bearings

Yeah, my 09 does it the same way. I too feel like it the softer rubber on the edge of the tires. It has a faint mud grip sound.

I wonder if 1 kind does it worse than others? Mine has the original (thick white wall) that came on the bike.

Yep... bet is your tires. Try just weaving in your lane and see if you get the same sound. I bet you will.

Well, nothing has fallen off of it so I'm just gonna "keep on keepin on." When I replace these I'll use the same Dunlops. They get great mileage if kept properly aired.

It might be the tire wear bars - on a previous bike (not a Harley) it was the sound of (you need new tires)
