Default Radio question

What year did harley come out with the self adjusting volume. I really want to move to a EG and I really like this feature, and if you go with a standard is everything there except the radio. Thanks

Can't answer the first part completely but I still have a cassette equipped radio and it has AVC, and yes, the standard ships with the complete harness including antenna cable. No speakers.

My '95 EG Classic has the AVC.
FYI - Got a bud that bought a Standard ('07) and found a stock take-off HK for $150 including speakers and antenna on Ebay. I helped him with download updates and he,s since upgraded to J&M speakers and has a total of $260 invested.
