I'm going to the Factory in York tomorrow for a group tour and will ask whomever I can but doubt they will spill any beans. I'm particularly interested in learning the fate of our beloved "Shark Nose" and what is to come of it. I'll post when I return later tomorrow. Maybe when they see my 09 dressed Roadie, it may inspire them to build more just like it!
Yeah, and not three long winter months - 3 months of prime riding season (pretty much the only prime riding season some of us get!).
I don't see any major changes coming to the '09 baggers - they blew their wad last year, this year it will be another family (softails, sporty's, dynas).

I know, the gas tank is under the seat...just easier to call it a "tank".
yeah i was just giving you a hard time. but i would wait also i really hope they come out with a cooler running motor of some kind the 96 is just too hot look at all the changes since the 07 models came out they know they have a heat issue and many folk are not happy with it, personally i am waiting on a water cooled tourer once they have a year to work out the bugs i will say by by by by to my 07 ultra. who knows it may be worth more cuz it is one of the last air cooled motors but i don't care they can have this heat monster i will take a cooler running motor anyday, because i ride everyday, i did not buy the thing to look cool but to ride as much as possible and that gets hard to do because of the heat. (ok maybee a little of me wants to look cool too =D) sorry just had to rant.
Cooter,
Put a Power Commander on your ride and cool it off right now. No need to wait and no need to avoid the 09s either. Go see Jamie at Fuel-Moto and get over the heat issue fast.
dude you are killing me now!!!!I wont ask you how you know........but
HOW DO YOU KNOW!?!?!?
a friend used to work at the dealer and he said the salesman told him ahead of time and he wound up with a 08 cause of the new gas tank and brakes, harley is playing a game with cheese and we are the mice. each year they put out a lil piece. HD Greedy Bastards, this year I don't know what the cheese will be, wish I could help all you out.

I'm with you on that...I just want it to be REALLY liquid cooled, one that can idle in traffic as long as needed w/o overheating like a Wing. Harley says the V Rod can sit in the desert in a metal box and run for hours...that would fill the bill. My Vulcan was a good, cool running liquid cooled bike but the manual stated be careful when idling over 5 minutes.
I don't believe we will see a liquid cooled V twin bagger this year either in spite of the rumors. I think it will be small comestic and maybe color changes and that's about it.
Moco (in there minds) has already solved the heat issue by changing the exhaust system and using the engine Idle temperature management system(EITS) which causes only one cylinder to work.
