I was supposed to fly to Vegas tomorrow morning with my wife for a few days. My daughter has been sick and we had to cancel our trip at the last minute. We had a Electa Glide rented from Eaglerider and had planned on riding to the Hover dam and Valley of the sun. Spent all day packing and getting ready to go, I took my bike to the Dealer for a warrenty oil leak from inner primary seal. They don't open back up for service until monday morning, probably won't get my bike back till Thurs, cuss I told them no hurry I will be out of town. Now what, I am stuck at home with my wife and sick daughter all week (don't get me wrong I love them to death). I can't ride ,my bike is in the shop, I can't go to work, company policy is you can't work during vacation time, you have to take it. I can't even go out to the garage and work on (play with) my bike. I am screwed, this is not how I planned on spending my vacation time. Oh well I guess it's gonna be quality time with the family for me. Thanks for letting me vent.
Oh yea and to top it off the Eaglerider rental is NON-REFUNDABLE!!!

You got off cheap, considering you were going to Vegas. Maybe someone can take your reservation and split the charges with you? Enjoy your family time, now you have no interuptions

Non refundable but they should be able to let you change the date. I had a similar thing happen to me and they let me float the rental till I was able to use it. It wouldn't hurt to try asking them.
I'll be in Vegas Monday afternoon for a week. I assure you that the city will make plenty of money off of me. They always do. Sucks about your bike situation though. A shame the rental place wouldn't work with you a bit on this.

You could always go visit several Harley Dealers and do a "test ride" from each one! Bring your helmet, look like a buyer, and ride it like ya stole it when you get it out their door!
