I'm looking for the run/stop light adapter for my 09 SG... The book and dealer says it's for everything except the FLHX. Thanks in advance.
Doug
Doug, I Just installed the HD Brake/Run/Turn Signal Conveersion Kit on my 09 Street Glide, it's a multi fit part and the part# is 69462-06A. The packaging does not list an FLHX specifically, it just says bullet style turn signals along with a few other model numbers, but it's the right light kit and it fits the Street Glide with no problems and works just like it should.
I installed the 69461-06A on my RKC a few yrs back. The only difference in the part numbers is the red lens, bullet or flat, depending on model. Same module. Actually replaced turn signal bar later anyway and could've went with the bullet kit...
If I recall and correct me if I'm wrong but, wasn't this (FLHX not being listed) because of DOT issues with light spacing distance or something like that?

HRLYSG,
I'm unfamiliar wit the DOT issues, can you shed some light? Thanks in advance.
I don't recall the exact wording, but they specify a minimum distance between turn signals, also referencing the color. Basically if you have red signal/brake light combo, they have to be further apart.
Moco gets away with it on the factory setup as the signals are amber and not also used for brake.
I've got em on my EG. If it were me, I'd put em on the SG. I doubt that you'll have a problem, police have enough to do without checking distance between turn signals. And the added security is worth the risk. IMO.
I have the run/brake light module on my FXD with the Street Glide bullet tail lamp bar and have never even gotten a glance from any LEO here in NY or NJ. I suppose if they pull you over to check the distance between the lights, you most likely have other things to worry about.
