Default Where?

Some people reference part numbers for certain things, such as comparing a part number for a 09 road glide rear shock compared to a SERG rear shock. I am curious where are these numbers coming from, is there something i can buy or somewhere on the web to get these numbers?

A few places

1. Online at Harley Davidson
2. Harley Davidson part and accessory catalog
3. Shop Manual for your model should also have part numbers. (I believe. I have not looked at mine lately)
