For those running Avon Venoms
The below is information I obtained and is offered for information only. It is the responsibility of the individual to research and make responsible decisions regarding their vehicle.
I contacted Avon for the recommended pressures on the AM 41 and AM 42 I fitted on my '07 Street Glide. I put a 150 on the back. The front is a direct replacement for the stock Dunlop. This is the info I got back.
'Thank you for purchasing Avon Venom tires for your Street Glide. The Venom tires are constructed much more robustly than the Dunlop original equipment and can actually handle up to 50 psi front and rear. The front will show tested at 40 on the sidewall but that is to meet the ERTRO standards in Europe and does have a higher pressure and load capacity. I have listed the suggested pressures for various loads.
Solo 2 up light 2 up heavy
Front 38-40 40-41 42-43
Rear 44 46 48-50
