Has anyone installed a woofer on an Ultra?

I saw some 8" 'flat mount' woofers yesterday. But my gawd are they heavy !! You would have to make some sort of insert , to take the weight. They would DESTROY the hard bags, with a direct mount.

in the beginning of the thread on my bike, it shows the 10 i ran for a while... didnt have a problem with it or the bag... i would rather put one in a tour pack though, and make it removeable, which is what i am building now, but anyhow, to see that, click on my link, its somewhere in the beggining... i have changed several things on the bike since then, so its an interesting, but long thread to go through...

yeah but i wouldn't ride with her during the day. she really was a woofer.

I saw a RG with a chopped tourpack that housed nothing but a sub & an amp, in Billings several years ago. He had several other custom speakers throughout the bike (including 6x9's on the inside of the inner fairing).

It was crazy loud ~ kinda like a low-rider car w/hydraulics etc....

i have 2 long throw Tbang woffers. i plan on getting anothe trunk to make into a sub box and powering it with another amp from firecap

I saw a setup that hells foundry has now looked very clean fits in tour pack, saw it in the hot bikes bagger mag that came today. 8" woofer, 500 watt sony amp and a neat looking insert that everything's molded into. Don't seem to be on the website yet though Mag said to call for price, it's call the Woofpack

go to Hells Foundry website, then download the 09 catalog it's shown in there , but it doesn't have a price

Do a search for the Kicker CVT 6.5. shallow mount sub and hits a ton or give me a shout if you want to know more
